What Valor does, and does not do

Valor is a medical review service, not a representative or a treatment provider. Knowing the boundary helps you set expectations with the veteran before they begin.

Valor does

  • Prepare the veteran's records with a Registered Nurse and Medical Coder
  • Confirm whether the file is ready for physician review
  • Match the condition to a specialty-matched physician
  • Deliver a structured, physician-authored independent medical opinion or nexus letter

Valor does not

  • File or refile VA claims
  • Represent veterans before the VA or act as an accredited agent
  • Provide medical treatment, a new diagnosis or a physician-patient relationship
  • Guarantee a supportive opinion, a rating or any VA outcome

What the veteran will experience

1

Short Intake & Payment

The veteran describes one claimed condition, provides contact details and completes the $899 payment in Stripe Checkout. Records are not required to start.

Payment: The $899 service fee is paid at intake, not a deposit toward a second standard physician-review charge. Readiness review comes first; a supportive opinion or VA outcome is not guaranteed.

2

Secure Records Follow-Up

A case specialist sends the veteran a separate secure intake for records and clarification, and helps identify what is missing.

3

Complimentary Clinical Readiness Review

A Registered Nurse and Medical Coder organize the file and confirm whether it should advance. If we recommend waiting and the veteran chooses not to advance, we return $849 and give a practical evidence plan. The same return applies if we recommend advancing but the physician cannot support the requested opinion. We retain $50 for processing. If the veteran advances against our recommendation to wait, the unsupported-opinion refund does not apply. Read our conditional refund protection for the two safety gates and their requirements.

4

Specialty-Matched Physician Review

When we recommend advancing, a specialty-matched physician independently reviews the records and service history and authors a structured opinion stated to the "at least as likely as not" standard.

5

Secure Delivery

The written opinion is delivered securely to the veteran within 14 days after Valor confirms the final required information and records are complete and ready for physician review. Many standard cases are delivered sooner. The veteran and their representative decide how to use it.

How to refer

Share the intake link below with the veteran. The veteran completes the intake and payment themselves. Valor does not accept records from third parties before the veteran's own intake, and does not need anything from you to begin.

Veteran intake link

https://form.jotform.com/260656276875067

The link opens Valor's secure, HIPAA-compliant intake. If your organization was given a referral page link, share that link: when a veteran opens this page from it and starts intake, the link's source label travels with their intake. The veteran completes intake themselves, and the source label does not change the price or the process.

Helpful to tell the veteran

  • Start with the one condition they most want reviewed
  • Records can follow after payment through the secure intake
  • The Stripe receipt arrives separately from the welcome email
  • Medical records go only through the secure form, never by email

No referral fees. Valor pays no referral fees and has no financial arrangements with referring organizations, representatives, coaches or clinicians. The veteran pays the same fee whether or not they were referred, and the physician's opinion is independent of who made the referral.

Questions before you refer?

Organizations and clinicians with questions about scope, specialties or process can reach the team through our General Inquiry form. Please do not include a veteran's medical details in an inquiry.

Referral questions

Still have a question? Contact us and we will help.

Does Valor pay referral fees?

No. Valor pays no referral fees and has no financial arrangements with referring organizations, representatives, coaches or clinicians. The veteran pays the same $899 fee whether or not they were referred.

Can I send the veteran's records to Valor on their behalf?

Not before the veteran's own intake. The veteran completes the short Client Intake and payment themselves. A case specialist then sends the veteran a separate secure intake for records. Valor does not accept medical records from third parties ahead of that step.

Does Valor file claims or represent veterans?

No. Valor coordinates independent, physician-authored medical opinions and nexus letters. Valor does not file or refile claims, does not represent veterans before the VA and does not provide medical treatment. Representation and filing remain with the veteran and their accredited representative.

What does the veteran pay and what protects them?

The fee is $899 per claimed condition, paid at intake. Every engagement begins with a complimentary clinical readiness review. If Valor recommends waiting and the veteran chooses not to advance, or the physician cannot support the requested opinion after Valor recommended advancing, $849 is returned and $50 is retained for intake and payment processing. No medical opinion or VA outcome is guaranteed.

How long does the review take?

Standard cases are completed within 14 days after Valor confirms the veteran's final required information and records are complete and ready for physician review, and many are delivered sooner. The clock does not begin at payment.
