FAQ
Common questions about our services
Who writes the medical opinions?
All opinions are authored by board-certified physicians actively practicing in their respective specialties. We do not outsource to non-clinical staff.
What types of cases do you review?
We currently specialize in mental health (including PTSD and related conditions) and orthopedic/musculoskeletal conditions. Additional case types may be considered. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
What is a nexus opinion?
A nexus opinion is a medical determination addressing whether a condition is "at least as likely as not" connected to a specific event, service, or injury. Our nexus language is structured, documentation-based, and clinically supported.
What is an independent medical opinion (IMO)?
An IMO is a structured medical evaluation conducted by a board-certified physician who reviews documentation and provides an objective, evidence-based written opinion grounded in clinical standards.
How long does the review process take?
Our standard review timeline is approximately 14 days from receipt of complete documentation. This may vary depending on record volume, complexity, or if additional clarification is needed.
Can attorneys submit cases on behalf of clients?
Yes. Attorneys may submit documentation on behalf of clients. All submissions must include appropriate authorization and relevant medical records.
Do you guarantee claim outcomes?
No. We provide independent medical opinions grounded in clinical documentation. The opinion's use and weight in your case depend on factors beyond our control.
Are evaluations conducted in person?
Unless otherwise specified, evaluations are record-based and conducted through documentation review. In-person evaluations are not standard unless explicitly arranged.
